begint de stad
haar
eerste beweging
te maken
niet in snelheid
maar in bewustzijn
een tram
rinkelt
ergens
in de verte
de toon
glijdt
als een
gouden druppel
door de avondlucht
het is geen druk geluid
maar een zachte melodie
die zich mengt met de wind
hier en daar verlicht
een etalage het trottoir
alsof de winkels
zelf een moment nemen
om het jaar
dat voorbijtrekt
te overdenken
De stad wordt wakker
in haar eigen decemberritme
een ritme
dat geen haast kent
maar wel richting krijgt
